Out of curiosity....has any Oppo ever driven one? My mom had one. It was bright Yellow. When she bought it I thought she’d lost her mind. But then I drove it.......

They are awesome. Great ride. Super futuristic equipment on the inside (or at least Pontiac’s best attempt at faking it). Mom’s had Heads Up Display. Sound system was great. Drove great in all sorts of weather (hers did not have the all wheel drive though and I’ve always been curious about that). It had 4 captains chairs in it that were very comfy. The tail gate was contoured so two could sit on it very comfortably like chairs.

I took it to a cook out once with a bunch of my friends. There was must snickering. But when I dropped the tailgate and popped the center console out (which was a cooler that was removable) there were some people that changed their tune. I took some guys for a beer run in it too and even the staunchest of haters said “this thing is cool, I’d drive this”

*One cannot see how ugly it is whilst inside enjoying how friggin cool it is to drive it!

I think theyre nice cars. Too much undeserved hate. They came out 10 years too early. Theres way uglier cars now that people dont seem to mind. Juke, Xb, Sould, Cube etc.

It is 2058, GM is the worlds largest auto maker comprised of all American brands and some European and Asian. The only other Manufacturer worth noting is VW Which has now almost all European brands. Grandpa has his car collection out of the garage for cleaning and let the grand kids see these classics. Grandson, “Why do you have three... Aztecs?” Grandpa, “Well let me tell you kids a story.” Sits on his lawn chair and the kids sit on the lawn. “ Back in 2010 I was a young spry man working at a tech firm. I made decent money, but drove around a clapped out Honda Civic. Nothing fancy like today, but it was ok. Anyway, the year prior we had an economic downturn of great scale. Thankfully my job was safe, but many of my coworkers were not so lucky.” Kids, “What about the cars?” “I’m getting there. Its called backstory, now put away your qizmos and listen up! I was on my way to work when my car made an awful racket! I pulled over and coolant and oil were pouring out of the engine. The car was dead and I was late to work. So I had the car towed to a shop to be looked at while I was at work. Later that day I go by the shop and they say just buy a new car yours isn’t worth it. I walk down the row on dealers there and I stop at the GM store. This one carried Pontiac. Unfortunately Gm had to be bailed out by the government or go bankrupt.” Grandson “That can’t be true! How could GM fail? Are you telling us lies Grandpa?” “ No sonny, at this time GM was also a major financial company and that almost ruined them. The government told them that they had to cut back and one way was to cancel the Pontiac and Saturn brands. by this point the dealer really should have gotten rid of these, but then this was a very unpopular car. So i was able to buy one and their “cost”, one half off and then I got one for free, just for getting them off their lot. From then on I kept these in perfect condition because that was the best deal I have ever gotten and I knew one day these cars would be collectors items. Hell, if college wasn’t fee these days, i could put you all through college and then some.” “That’s way cool Grandpa!”

I once read an engineer from GM though the Aztec was a very good car and was proud of it because the met all their targets and goals for its development. Therefore the Aztec is probably a really good car/SUV/CUV/Mini-van hatchback thingy.
